Acts 18

1- After Athens, Paul went to Corinth. 2 - That is where he discovered Aquila, a Jew born in Pontus, and his wife, Priscilla. They had just arrived from Italy, part of the general expulsion of Jews from Rome ordered by Claudius. 3 - Paul moved in with them, and they worked together at their common trade of tentmaking. 4 - But every Sabbath he was at the meeting place, doing his best to convince both Jews and Greeks about Jesus.

Paul worked for a living, even while ministering as far as his feet and borrowed ships would take him. Today, there is a signficant historic change that reframes tentmaking, changing the traditional platforms we’ve used for tentmaking, and creates broad new opportunities for ministry.

One key change is that information is cheap, accessible, connected and mobile. The last time this kind of change took place Guttenberg let loose thousands of individuals through open access to the Bible transforming the Western world. Today it’s Smart Phones, iPods, Google, Amazon, YouTube and a host of others.

Our new Flat World turbo charges Guttenberg’s platform; tailored for individual mobilization. In a distributed, ever-changing world individuals adapt much faster than organizations, institutions or traditions. In many ways Tentmakers will lead the advance of the Kingdom in the 21st Century and churches who see the shift will provide support.
